Black and White Weddings

There is almost nothing as classic as a black and white wedding. Seeing some photos from Justine Ungaro's wedding over at www.theunbride.com got me thinking about this. When you go classic, you will never regret it. Black and whit can be vintage or modern. I love this zebra printed cow hide shown below as a wedding day accent. Also, the guinnea feather napkin holders below!
A dash of color to the black and white palate can be just the right accent. I love the monochromatic flower arrangements on the tables below. It makes them really Pop! And while your at it, why not give your cake a little bling as well? I love this feathery brooch with ribbon on the cake below. Another tip: follow a theme throughout your entire wedding. If you are wearing a feathered veil, put some on the flower girl, in the bouquets, table decor etc...

Meet real bride Michelle Ward

Meet the Beautiful Michelle (Formerly Solomon) Ward.
Two days before her 30th birthday, Michelle got engaged. Michelle, from Long Island and her fiance Luke, from Buffalo were married in Brooklyn on 9/14/08. Their ceremony took place at Brooklyn Bridge Park on a pebble beach overlooking Manhattan. Her bridesmaids wore flip flops (which I love) and tea length dresses. When Michelle emailed me some fabulous photos of her September wedding and I had to share.

Kate aka "Miss. Pomegranite"

I have the opportunity of sharing some photos from one of our brides Kate.
Better known as Miss.Pomegranite on the site weddingbee.com When I saw her photos, I had to share. Kate's wedding was a black and white damask dream. Kate requested a custom made birdcage veil to match her custom dress. She mailed us scraps of silver lambskin from her dress and we used them to form a beautiful two layer leather flower backed with brilliant guinnea feathers. Her veil looks stunning with her dress I must say. Kate documented the whole process of creating her custom pieces on the blog, weddingbee.com. For more photos, check out photographer Travis Hoehne's blog
and for more info on Kate's fabulous wedding, head on over to weddingbee.com

Wedding Jewelry

Picking an accent for your special day is fun, because there are ooh so many options! Check out a few necklaces we loved.

How about this reclaimed wedding dress given a second life as a necklace! This one from seller Paper Hill on etsy.com
Beautiful. Elegant. Vintage. Usually describes a pearl necklace in a couple words. This Necklace combines the elegance of a pearl and brilliance of diamonds, making up a striking piece of jewelry to add to the trousseau of your special day.
Splurge on Chanel, or make your own. Either way, you'll be classically beautiful!
